What cookies and similar storage do
Cookies are small values a website or its delivery infrastructure can ask a browser to retain. They may support essential functions, remember choices or enable tracking. LocalStorage and sessionStorage are separate browser storage mechanisms; they are not cookies, but can also retain information on a device.
What this site's own code uses
The static pages and script supplied for this website do not set cookies, use localStorage or sessionStorage, or load analytics and advertising trackers. The navigation and scroll effects work without saved preferences. The trail-note tool holds text in the current page rather than saving a draft to site storage.
Browser caching, form restoration and any storage introduced by the hosting or delivery environment are distinct from these page scripts. This page does not claim that ordinary server requests occur without technical processing. See the privacy notice for more about page delivery and email.

Your browser controls

Blocking cookies should not stop the core static guides or local note formatter from working. Clipboard access may be unavailable in some contexts; the note remains visible for manual copying. Clearing site data does not necessarily clear downloaded files, your clipboard or messages you have already sent by email.
